Indian Head Massage works on areas affected by mental and emotional stress. We spend much of our time in our heads so this treatment can help calm the mind and is deeply relaxing. The treatment involves working with a firm and gentle rhythm which helps relieve muscualr discomfort and tension as well as calming the spirit and aiding relaxation. It also improves circulation in the head, enhances the senses and promotes clear thinking. You sit in a chair for the duration of the treatment and remain fully clothed. The massage begins with the upper back then shoulders, upper arms and neck. I then move up to the scalp where techniques are used that stimulate, relax and revive the whole of the head, increasing circulation and promoting healthy hair. The treatment ends with a gentle face massage with techniques that help the circulation, skin tone and sinus and headache problems.
